Free DMARC test

DMARC tester

This DMARC tester checks a real email. Send one message to the address you get below and see whether it passes DMARC, DKIM and SPF, and why not. It catches what DNS checks can’t, like a DKIM key that’s simply the wrong one.

Example result for yourcompany.com

Your email fails DKIM

It was signed with the google key for yourcompany.com, but the key in your DNS doesn’t match the one your email provider signs with, so DKIM fails.

How to fix it

Copy your DKIM key again. In your email provider’s DKIM settings, copy the current key and paste it as the Value of the google._domainkey record, replacing what’s there.

How the DMARC tester works

Your report appears on this page a few seconds after your email arrives. No sign-up.

01

Get your address

Press the button for your own test address. It works for 30 minutes.

02

Send any email to it

Send it from the mailbox you want to test. Testing a cold email tool? Send one from there too, so it takes the same route as your real emails.

03

See what inboxes see

We check the DKIM signature against the key in your DNS, SPF for the server that sent it, and DMARC, then show you what to fix.

What a real email shows that DNS can't

DNS checks only see the records you’ve published. A real email shows what actually happens when you send.

01

The wrong DKIM key

A complete key that isn’t the one your provider signs with looks perfect in DNS. A real email shows the mismatch.

02

Emails changed on the way

A footer, signature or link-tracking service that edits emails after they’re signed breaks DKIM. The test spots it.

03

Senders missing from SPF

We check the exact server that sent your email against your SPF record, so you see which service to add.

DMARC tester questions

Send a real email and check the result. DMARC passes when DKIM or SPF passes for the domain in your From address. This DMARC tester does it for you: get an address above, send any email to it, and the report shows each check.

Every DKIM signature on your email against the key in your DNS, SPF for the server that sent it, DMARC for your From address, and whether that server is on 15 public blacklists.

We read it once, the moment it arrives, and delete it straight away. We keep only the results (pass or fail, the server that sent it and the key name) for a day. We never keep the subject or anything you wrote.

Our test inbox turns away email that fails both SPF and DKIM, as many inboxes do, and the bounce message says why. Run a full domain scan to see what to fix.

Yes. Send your test from the tool itself, so the email takes the same route as your campaigns, and check the DKIM and SPF results for that route.
